Membership Advantages

50/50 Buddy Discounts have been created so that returning students may receive 50% off one class by introducing a first time student to FIA Art School classes! Both returning and new students will receive 50% off one class only if enrolling in the same session. The discount will apply to each student’s member status fee. Both registrations will be wait listed until the two registrations are completed with payment; simultaneous or same day registrations are encouraged.

Art Supplies are available at the FIA Museum Shop. Enrolled students receive a 20% discount on art supplies. Art supplies are provided for children’s classes ages 2.5–17.

The Café is open! Take a piping hot cup of Starbuck’s® coffee and a cookie or soup and salad to class. Members receive a 10% discount on café purchases. Also, take advantage of a “buy 10 get one free” coffee card.

Gift Cards are available by phone or in the Art School office for holidays, graduations, or birthdays.

Members receive 20% off classes and two weeks priority enrollment as well as an FIA Members Magazine, free admisssion to all exhibitions, and much more.

The FIA Collection exhibits master works that teach and inspire. The word “institute” in Flint Institute of Arts denotes the relationship between the FIA galleries and the Art School. Many classes are taught based on artworks from the galleries and visits are often made to the FIA galleries to sketch and to study materials and techniques. The course description will indicate if gallery visits are planned.
