Printmaking: Introduction to Relief Prints

Mural Painting Workshop: Codex Glyph Symbols

The glyph is a symbolic typeface the Mayans and Aztecs engraved in rock faces to tell stories. Participants will collaborate on a large painted mural, and collage together ancient glyph symbols with a symbol of their own design. Symbols will be painted on one large class canvas using abstract and glyph painting techniques. Acrylic paints, supplies and lunch will be provided. Students may bring personal canvases and materials if desired.
