Marylyn Dintenfass: Auto Biography and Other Anecdotes
Graphic Arts Gallery
Marylyn Dintenfass is an internationally known artist whose work is in numerous public collections throughout the United States, Europe, Israel, and Japan. This exhibition brings her automotive-themed works on paper to Michigan. Modern Painters magazine has named Dintenfass' October 2011 exhibition at Babcock Galleries, New York, as one of the "100 Best Fall Shows Worldwide." Dintenfass has a long history of interest in the stylish, sexy, shiny, speedy, supercharged automobiles with their screaming engines and smoking tires. Her abstract gestural, high-color artworks are powerful visualizations of her visceral and aesthetic response to automobiles. This exhibition highlights Dintenfass' innovative and unique artistic vision through a selection of thoroughly biographical works on paper.
