Canadian artist Ed Zelenak's minimalist style work depicts only the very basic features of an image—its shape, color, etc. His work in this series has been influenced by trees and the divining rod, both of which have forked "branches" extending from a central "trunk." In addition to the drawings in this series, Zelenak has crated metal relief sculptures using similar geometric abstract shapes, mounted onto clear acrylic panels. His work is included in several important collections throughout Canada and the United States.
