SHAPE and COLOR
Ford Graphics Gallery
Sponsored by JP Morgan Chase

Selected from the Flint Institute of Arts' permanent collection, this exhibition presents selected works by artists who worked with simple geometric forms arranged in abstract compositions. By limiting themselves to using only geometric forms these artists, which include Pablo Picasso, Hans Hofmann, Josef Albers, Al Held, Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, Ad Reinhardt and Bridget Riley, were able to create purely abstract works of art focusing on shape and color.
