Gift of Dr. Robert and Deanna Harris Burger, 2015.102

The body of this lizard is covered in tiny, colorful decals. Decals are colored patterns made from overglazes that can be permanently applied to the surface of ceramic objects. After cutting and applying the decals to the lizard’s body, Carol Gentithes refired the object at a low temperature to affix the decals to the glazed clay surface.
