In this talk, Dr. Siddhartha V. Shah leads us along the serpentine arc of Indian art history, building connections between the distant and more recent pasts to explore what they reveal about the present state and undetermined future of Indian art. 

Dr. Siddhartha V. Shah has a PhD in art history from Columbia University and is the Director of Education and Civic Engagement, and Curator of South Asian Art, at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, which is home to the largest and most important collection of modern Indian art outside the subcontinent.
