Water Flowing Together: Jock Soto
57 min

Water Flowing Together is an intimate portrait of Jock Soto, who retired from the New York City Ballet, after a twenty-four-year career. Soto was one of the most prolific dancers in the company, working with giants such as George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. His identity is both that of a world-famous dancer and an openly gay man of Navajo and Puerto Rican descent. The film beautifully captures his emotions as he prepares to retire, and grapples with merging these two identities as he enters a new phase in his life.
