Commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a full day of free activities that emphasize identity, unity, and community engagement at the Flint Public Library and the Flint Institute of Arts. 

At 2:00p, Communities First, Inc. President Glenn Wilson hosts a program at the Flint Public Library that begins with speaker Inez Brown, City Clerk of Flint. The festivities continue with musical guest The 

Spiritual Wonders and a presentation by the Delta Gamma 

Kudos, sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa. 

Visit the FIA before or after the library programming! The galleries open at 10:00a, with free admission for all visitors. At 4:00p, experience a step performance from the Institute of R.H.Y.M.E.S. Men of Excellence in the FIA’s Isabel Hall. Drop in to the FIA Art School from 3:00p–5:00p, where participants can create a family-friendly artwork that reflects the contributions of Dr. King.
