Enchanted: History of Fantasy Illustration
|Friday, September 23, 2022
|6:00pm - 7:00pm (1h)
Exhibition curator Jesse Kowalski will provide an overview of Enchanted, showing how artists from long ago to the present have brought to life mythology and fairy tales, as well as modern epics like Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. This exhibition traces the development of fantasy art from Golden Age illustrators to classic cover artists, as well as highlighting emerging talents.
Kowalski spent nearly two decades at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before joining the Norman Rockwell Museum's staff as Curator of Exhibitions in 2015.
