Enjoy an evening with Communities First, Inc. full of food, art, and a great film - "A Place Called Desire".

A “Place Called Desire” is a documentary feature film telling the powerful story of an often forgotten community in the upper 9th Ward of New Orleans. It has been in the making for 12 years, and offers many unforgettable history lessons and memorable stories of love and community.

Doors open at 5:30 PM for dinner and for after hours viewing of the Flint Institute of Art's galleries. The film begins at 6:45 PM.

As a part of our Culture Shock program, this opportunity is free to attend!
The panel discussion following the film will be on Saturday, January 14th at 2:00 PM on Facebook Live.
