U.K.’s official entry for the Academy Award Best International Film is Jonathan Glazer’s adaption of Martin Amis’ novel. A disturbing work about the Holocaust, Zone of Interest is told from the perspective of Auschwitz commandant, Rudolf Höss. The film follows Rudolf and his wife Hedwig as they strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp. This award-winning film asks timely questions and examines the human capacity for violence.
