The FIA is Temporarily Closed
Reopening Date TBD
Hello everyone, and let me start by saying we miss you all. I hope this finds you well and in good spirits.
Although running the FIA while closed has had its challenges, it has also had its rewards. The greatest reward has come from you telling us how much you miss being involved with the FIA and wanting to know what our needs and our future plans are. I want to thank you for sharing all the different things the FIA means to you. When you visit the galleries, we've heard that you gain a sense of belonging, continuity, fulfillment, and even awe. Our Art School students say the studios provide inspiration and moments of tremendous satisfaction. And so many of you say you miss the films, videos, lectures, and stimulating social events that offer such a wide variety of enriching experiences.
I regret, at this time, we are unable to provide you with the authentic, in-the-moment experiences many of you have remarked you need now more than ever. But since you can't see us in person, we've ramped up our virtual offerings, including FlintArts.org, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and FIA@Home, and have been encouraged by your responses. We will continue to bring you compelling articles and fun things to do to remind you again and again of all the things the FIA has to offer. Of course, we will be keeping you informed of our plans to reopen as soon as we can guarantee your comfort and safety.
Thank you for your continued support and encouraging words. It means a great deal to all of us.
