A Flint native currently living in Clio, Sara received her Associate in Applied Science for Baking and Pastry Arts, as well as her Certificate in Professional Baking this past June and joins the Palette Café staff as its Pastry Chef. She comes to the museum with extensive experience gained in a number of notable local bakeries, including Kringles and Crust, and credits baking with her grandmother and mother as a driving force behind her career path. Sara has always loved the science behind how different ingredients react during the baking process and how exacting the art must be while working with pastries. She is a proud mom of a five-year-old daughter and a soon-to-be newlywed.
