Join us at the Flint Institute of Arts for a screening of the film, Created Equal. A pre-film reception will be held in the lobby at 6pm followed by the screening at 7pm. Immediately following the screening will be a Community Dialogue addressing gender and racial equality.

'Created Equal' tells the story of an up-and-coming attorney who begrudgingly agrees to sue the Catholic Church for gender discrimination against a young woman who desperately wants to become a priest. As the trial unfolds, their lives become endangered as an extremist plots to stop the heresy at any cost.

Film Producer Thada Catalon and Shelley R. Spivack, J.D., Core Faculty, Women's and Gender Studies, University of Michigan-Flint will be leading the Community Dialogue addressing gender and racial equality.

This event is free and open to the public. It is intended for adults, so we ask that no children under 12 attend the screening. Seating is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive early.
